Mission
The Mission of the Eastern Michigan University Department of Accounting and Finance is to:
Deliver high quality accounting, accounting information systems, finance and decision science undergraduate and graduate education,
Provide a learning environment that is student-focused, technology-oriented and ethical that promotes critical thinking and supports the development of a diverse group of students,
Advance financial management education and knowledge through contributions to practice, pedagogical research and discipline-based scholarly activity, and
Participate in service initiatives and partnerships with business and professional communities in order to support the economic development of Southeastern Michigan .
Vision:
The faculty envisions the Department of Accounting and Finance being the school of choice for Southeastern Michigan students who desire high quality, relevant accounting and financial management higher education taught by exceptionally qualified faculty dedicated to preparing their students for challenging careers.
