Accounting Area Mission Statement

The Mission of the Eastern Michigan University Accounting Area is to:

•  deliver high quality accounting and accounting information systems undergraduate and graduate education,

•  provide a student-focused, technology-oriented and ethical learning environment that promotes critical thinking and supports the development of a diverse group of students,

•  advance accounting education and knowledge through contributions to practice, pedagogical research and discipline-based scholarly activity, and

•  participate in service initiatives and partnerships with business and professional communities in order to support the economic development of Southeastern Michigan .
